Pants-in-Boots

It must be said, even at the risk of offending some of my friends, that this ubiquetous tucking-in of pants to boots has really reached saturation point. I witnessed this trend in full bloom last year while I was in New York; that it took a year to catch on here in this fashion-challenged city only makes it more annoying to me.

I don't really know what the alternative is to trend, but it does seem that certain gals should not embrace certain trends. The young ladies that can get away with it should feel okay about being individual and unique.

I decline to comment on the sofa.

  1. Too funny. I just got back from watching Chelsea Handler's stand-up routine up at the River Rock Casino. I thought the boots-in-pants was schtick. Absolutely sure it was. Why? 'Cause it looked like ass. Her show has a bit of a "skank" theme, so I thought she was in costume.
So she was being intentionally trendy aka fashionable? oh god.

  2. that soffa is in remarkable condition for early 80's Santa Fe or could it be a reproduction? hard to say, they seem to be collectors; did you happen to spot the lovely brass and glass At achier in the background? a good marriage with contemporary Peblo. one never knows Gumps could pick it up... it's a look!

  3. I did notice the etegere, but couldn't get past the birch-stained round foot. Distracting.

The carpet does appear to be clean and if you look closely, you can detect a sisal area rug, in the same color palette. Very nice.
